This old town is a breath of fresh air. Despite it being an attraction, I still thought there were more locals than tourists which made it more pleasant to visit. We went to the most amazing tapas bar (Mesón Ibérico), so if you are ever there, you have to try it. The old town is beautiful, narrow streets, little cafés and the lovely smell of roasted almonds whisk by you every now and then.

The Cathedral (Catedral de la Encarnación) was built on the site where the city’s main mosque once stood. The only thing that has remained of the mosque is the Patio de los Naranjos. The building of the Cathedral started in the 16th century and was finished in the 18th century. Its breathtaking and the architeture all around is eye catching.

Opposite of the mentioned tapas bar was another good one focusing on seafood. Here I am drinking a Tinto de verano that is wine and gaseosa (but can have it with sprite or water too) and is ideal for hot weathers.

This place was a mix of old and new. A jámon read to be sliced and a man roasting nuts. Also, the design was my style, large white wood all over with modern claer Kartell chairs.
