A perfect day

A perfect day. I woke up early to suprise Mr. N (on his bday morning) and made some canapés and coffee to bring to bed. After opening presents and cuddling, we finished watching the animated movie Ratatouille that we started already the previous night. I've seen it before but forgot how cute it really was, I have to say its now one of my favourite animated movies! It was stunning weather so we decided to go into Savonlinna town, which is now packed with tourists becuase the famous opera is starting in a week or so. We found a new nature walk by the casino area with amazing scenery and then went to the market square to eat some flamed salmon with tartar sauce on the pier..yum! 

After returing back home, we went rowing and fishing that was later cooked on campfire. Well actually, I read my book (The perfect Hero by Victoria Connelly) and sunbathed while Mr. N fished away! Later, we spent quality time, read some more and enjoyed some chilled white wine. I have to mention that the bday cheese cake was delicious- I'll put in the receipe later becuase its simple and something worth trying. I have to say, I had a little helper who is a fab. chef!
