Home Made Chocolate

Home Made Chocolate - Sweet meets Salty

Originating from Sara La Fountain's recipe, this is a simple chocolate recipe that can be manipulated in different ways to suit your own taste buds. I thought I would add it before Christmas if someone would like to try it at home and indulge in its sweetness! Basically, you can use any filling for the chocolate- I prefer salty nuts like pistachios, cashews and wall nuts. I also like adding dried berries like strawberry's and cranberry's.

All you need to do is melt some dark chocolate ( about 400 g) bars on a water base. Then place some baking paper on a plate and scatter your ingredients around.  Spread the melted chocolate on top of this and add some extra ingredients for garnish and sprinkle caster sugar to add extra sweetness. Put the plate into the fridge over night and cut them into suitable pieces. Let your Christmas be filled with sweetness!

These make simple gift ideas - for example to bring to dinner parties
This is what the chocolate looks like after its been in the fridge- its ready to be cut
